Landscape design is the process of
discovering the opportunities presented
by each site. This process guides the
selection of plants that will best utilize
the unique qualities of each space.
The result is a unique design characterized
by strong composition, thoughtful use of
texture, shape, and color combinations.
A garden should celebrate all seasons.
I believe watching the landscape change,
buds and bright new growth emerging,
flowers blossoming, and the colorful
splendor of fall are an integral part of
being alive. This experience helps to slow
our busy lives and teaches us to see the
subtle beauty around us.
My designs balance evergreen plants for
year round structure with plants that
respond to the cyclic changes of
temperature, moisture, and light.
In this way the garden provides year
round interest and enjoyment.
Calyx Landscape Design is owned and operated by Greg Tiffany. He has a Masters in Fine Art and studied landscape design at South Seattle Community College. He has worked at local nurseries and lived in Seattle for 16 years.
